This is a profound time in our shared history. It is a moment full of rage as well as promise. Fear as well as potential. With each passing day, more battle lines are being drawn to save the planet. So, why don’t we get to read about it in newspapers, hear them on the radio or see them on tv?
The fact is, we have never been able to rely on major media to tell stories that matter–and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.
That’s why we are creating our own podcast and TV show.
It’s called the Indigenous Rights Report and it will reach more than 47 million households in the United States.
But we can’t do it alone. We need raise $6385 to launch the podcast in January and buy us the time we need to finish designing a hard-hitting news program that respects Indigenous Rights as much as it prizes good journalism.
This is so much bigger than any one of us. It’s a chance to inform and inspire tens of millions of people! It’s a chance to put a spotlight on dozens (if not hundreds) of frontline struggles around the world. And, perhaps most importantly, it’s a chance to tell major media to get out of our way.

We don’t follow news cycles; we trace patterns. We don’t sensationalize; we provide context.
And when the world looks away, we stay focused.
But this work is increasingly difficult to sustain.
We refuse to lock our reporting behind a paywall. We don’t sell access through subscriptions.
And we don’t answer to advertisers. IC Magazine survives solely because readers like you choose to
support independent Indigenous journalism.
