This is an URGENT CALL for support from the headquarters of Dooda Desert Rock. We would appreciate a large presence of physical bodies and a variety of posters and images on April 16, 2007 at 9 am in Window Rock, Arizona.
The Spring Session of the Navajo Nation Council will convene on this day, April 16, 2007. The Dooda Desert Rock is organizing a multi- organizational protest MARCH from the Window Rock fairgrounds to the Council Chambers. The purpose of this action is to rally and lobby support within the Navajo Council to vote against Dine Power Authority / Sithe’s request for another $2 million from the Navajo Nation Government.
On Tuesday the 17th of April, 2007, the council will be voting on this $2 million request. DDR and Supporters will be protesting outside the council chambers.
PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT OUR STRUGGLE! BRING YOUR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND WHAT HAVE YOU.
We need bodies and voices to stop our government from wasting more money on DPA/Sithe/DREP.
